Outdoorsmen Rules and stuff

February 22nd, 2006

There seem to be a few people on the forum who want to know about the rules for the Outdoorsmen. I thought I would share how we run our little event and maybe this information will be helpful to anyone who is looking to create their own little annual outdoor beer drinking adventure (I’m not sure if I should have hyphenated ‘beer-drinking’? If you have any insight on the proper use of the hyphen, then please share. I always thought if it was modifying a word, in this case the word ‘adventure’, then it should be hyphenated. I would really like to know if I’m right on this. Perhaps the gracious hosts of this site could create a forum or message board devoted entirely to the proper use of the hyphen? If any of you agree, then please contact the site administrators and ask…no, strike that, DEMAND that they create a forum about hyphen use and more specifically how it relates to the term ‘beer drinking adventure’.)

Well, I apologize because initially I intended to use this post to discuss the Outdoorsmen and its rules and other information but I have to admit I’ve been thrown off by this hyphen situation.

Friendship

January 10th, 2006

I remember the first time I saw the sitcom ‘Friends’. I thought to
myself, now there is a group of people that have shit figured out. I
use to dream that someday my real-life friendships would be as strong
and funny as those wise-cracking friends on ‘Friends’.

But then, after the second episode, I realized how much I hated those
shitheads. I mean, come on, what a bunch of losers. Anyhow, after that
I stopped dreaming about being friends with Joey and Ross and…the other guy, I forget his name, and just accepted that my friends were pretty good just the way they were…except Brady.

The OD … Make Your Own

December 27th, 2005

If I was going to give someone the recipe to making the Outdoorsmen, I
would suggest one cup of nature, a half-cup of pride, two teaspoons of
intensity, 14 gallons of beer and one-half pound of ground beef. You
could probably do without the ground beef, but personally, I like it in
everything.

Add those things together and bake at 450 degrees for about 40 minutes
and you have yourself your own little Outdoorsmen casserole.

Also, if you only have the beer, then you could throw out everything
else and still be fine.
