Roll Your Own
April 17th, 2006
Many of you who have seen the movie, the trailer, or otherwise heard of The Outdoorsmen have begged and pleaded for local screenings. You’ve also written to us suggesting venues we should be screening at, unique movie parties we should throw, and drinking contests we should plan. We hear you!
We’ve decided to let you, the audience, take charge with our new Roll Your Own Outdoorsmen program. It’s simple: you find the place, and get a start on finding the people. If you want to arrange an event at a local watering hole, go for it. If your preference is to rent a local theater and sell tickets through word-of-mouth advertising, more power to you. You decide what you want to do, when you want to do it, and we’ll help in any way we can. We’ll help you market your event, sell tickets and send you The Outdoorsmen Screening kit.
And when all is said and done, we’ll split the box office with you 50 / 50. Why shouldn’t you be rewarded for your hard work?
As a bonus: if you’re the first person to sell 250 tickets, Outdoorsmen Director Scott Allen Perry will fly out to your screening for some beers, laughs and a Q&A with your audience.
For further program details, check out the Roll Your Own Outdoorsmen Program Details. Send questions, comments, or ideas to outdoorsmen@bside.com. Save the smack-talking for now–we have a new Outdoorsmen forum on the way where those of you taking matters into your own hands can talk tactics, experience, and generally strut your stuff.
Nut up: The Outdoorsmen are coming.
